“Jesus. Give me some of those.”

“I’ve got it.”

“You obviously don’t.”

One of the bags is slipping. You try to pull it higher without putting the others down.

“Just give me the bag.”

“I said I’ve got it.”

The handle breaks.

Two cans of tomatoes hit the floor. An onion rolls under the table.

Nobody says anything for a second.

Then they bend down to pick up the onion.

“Leave it.”

They look at you.

“I’ll get it.”

You put the other bags on the counter and crouch down to reach under the table.
