The server puts the plate in front of you.
It isn’t what you ordered.
You look at it for a moment. The restaurant is busy. People are waiting for tables. Your friends already have their food.
“Everything okay?” the server asks.
“Yeah, thanks.”
You pick up your fork.
Someone across the table looks at your plate. “Is that what you ordered?”
“No.”
“Why don’t you send it back?”
You take another bite.
“It’s fine.”
