You finally have an afternoon with nothing planned.
No errands. No work that needs to be finished. Nobody waiting for anything.
You make some coffee and sit down. For a few minutes, it feels good.
Then you notice the dishes in the sink.
You could do those.
There’s laundry that could be folded. An email you could answer. A few things you’ve been meaning to organize.
None of them needs to happen now.
You stay where you are, but sitting there starts to feel different.
After a while, you get up and do the dishes.
