You need to go to the bathroom.
“Can’t you wait?”
You say you really have to go.
“We’re almost there.”
You try to wait.
Another day, you’re tired and want to go home. “We just got here.”
Or you’re hungry. “Dinner’s later.”
Or your shoes hurt. “Stop complaining.”
Sometimes you say something again. Sometimes there isn’t much point.
So you keep walking. You stay a little longer. You wait until dinner.
After a while, you get used to waiting.
Your body says something.
Everything else comes first.
