My stomach is always acting up.

Some days I’m bloated. Other days it hurts. Sometimes I eat something I’ve eaten a hundred times before and suddenly it doesn’t agree with me.

I’m always trying to figure out what caused it. Maybe it was the coffee. Maybe I ate too late. Maybe I shouldn’t have had dairy. I’ll stop eating something for a while, feel a little better, and decide I finally figured it out.

Then it happens again.

I’ve tried eating differently. Eating less. Drinking more water. Taking things for it. Sometimes something helps for a while.

Mostly, I’ve just learned to work around it. I know which foods I’m careful with. I know where the bathrooms are. I know when it’s better not to eat at all.

Maybe I just have a sensitive stomach.

It’s always been like this.
